In the woods.....with a pre-Xmas Update

Did the drive by about an hour ago and noticed the garage door had been installed. Its Dune in colour but sometimes looks, grey sometimes white, and sometimes cream depending on the light. Our bricks have the same illusion, sometimes black black, sometimes brown.......

Spoke to my SS who said the plan was to:
- Install stairs will happen next Monday
- The carpenters will return next Wednesday and work through the Xmas break
- Timpelle Kitchens booked tentatively for 17 January
- The Admin people at the No-Name Building company cant find my paperwork for Di-Lorenzo so this cant be booked in for January yet. Fingers crossed they find it today.

No Name Building company and our SS officially close for Xmas next Friday and re-open on the 9th January. We are so pleased that they have organised tradespeople to work through.

In the woods..with brick news

The no-name building company Construction Manager and my Site Supervisor will be attending the site tomorrow to check the bricks before they proceed to the second floor brick laying. I contacted them today to voice my disappointment so are pleased they have responded so quickly

Yah! Happy days!

Into the wood.....with a new site supervisor

I received an email from our site supervisor saying the no name building company was going in a different direction and effective immediately he has ceased employment with them. WTF????

I panicked..my worst fear is that the no name building company goes into Voluntary Administration. I only realised recently that the builders insurance only covers 20% of costs if this happens.....

So I called the no name building company first thing the next day and asked them what was going on. They were very surprised I even knew about the change given it had happened very late the previous day. It sounds like the termination was performance related......Luckily it wasnt my worst fear that they had gone into voluntary administration

The GM there advised a new SS would be starting in a few days. I think his name is Shane.  Hopefully he can sort out the whereabouts of these bricks!
