The kitchen and bathroom vanities were delivered today ready for installation tomorrow. The white poly kitchen, powder room, and main bathroom all look great. I am really happy we upgraded. The en-suite double vanity was unfortunately in white poly too and not nocturne oak. You know what that means! Delays.
What else....mmmm....I just received an alternate solution to the stair problem.....Just considering it now.
Tiling has slowed to a halt. Yesterday there were 4 tilers, 3 this morning and 1 when I visited this afternoon. Problem? They had run out of tiles. Of course I called the SS and told him about the tile and vanity situation.....I am so glad we live one block away and can monitor what is happening at the house several times per day!
I also received a quote today for fitting out the Butlers Pantry. A relative recommended and used this company recently for a poly/ ceasarstone kitchen. Timpelle Kitchen wanted $4800 for a 3 metre line laminate under bench cabinetry. I am getting 3 metres of white poly, sharknose under bench and above bench cabinetry! This is with a gloss laminate top. If I want to upgrade to Ceasarstone it is an additional $1500. My husband thinks we should get the ceasarstone so it matches the main kitchen 100%.....it may be overkill though for a second kitchen? Bye

In the woods....wth roof tile update and plumbing update
Roof Tiles
Just met the Bristile Roof Tile rep and our SS onsite, and guess what there is a problem with the roof tiles. Apparently it is a Bristile production issues whereby the "gloss" sealer does not entirely coat the tile resulting in an overall matt finish. Looks like it was a whole pallet of tiles! When the bricklaying is completed next week, the tilers will return to pull up the tiles and relay new ones. This will cost us an additional 4 day build time. Bugger.
Kitchen Plumbing
The plumbing has to be moved 25mm which our SS assures me isnt a big deal.
Still dont know the outcome of the fridge cavity.....The SS was just checking it out.....Will keep you posted
A good lesson for all.....If you are building make sure you keep a close eye on the progress. We are very lucky to live one block away and are able to check on the progress daily.

Bricking News
Bricklayers returned yesterday. They will be laying bricks for another week or so. Had a chat to the brickie who asked if I was happy with their work? Hello, are you stupid, why on earth would I complain if I was happy? I shouldn't be so mean........
Kitchen News
Yesterday I received a call from Timpelle Kitchens advising they would need to reduce the draws and kitchen bench by 10cm because of the increased size of the fridge cavity. The issue lies with the No-Name Building company not taking the wall back under the stairs. Instead, they pulled the fridge cavity wall forward taking up valuable kitchen space! Timpelle picked this up when the went to the house to do a final measure. Spoke to Shane our SS about it yesterday. He is checking it out today.
Plumbing News
In addition to this, our SS also mentioned Timpelle Kitchens sent him an email saying the kitchen plumbing is in the incorrect place and needs to be moved! WTF??? How did that happen???? Again, our SS will check this out today. I wonder how they move it? I think they will need to dig up the slab.?
Fingers crossed I will get some answers to the Roof tiles, kitchen plumbing and Fridge cavity today.
All I can say is thank goodness Timpelle is on the ball
